Join members of the San Francisco Symphony and fellow musicians for a weekend of music-making that you won't forget! The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Amateur Music Network present the inaugural Orchestra Fantasy Camp.
Rehearse and perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s spellbinding symphonic suite Scheherazade under the direction of conductor Edwin Outwater, and work with San Francisco Symphony musicians and SFCM faculty members, receiving world class instruction from extraordinary mentors.

Conductor and Mentors
The Orchestra Fantasy Camp will be led by visionary conductor, Edwin Outwater, and mentors consisting of musicians of the San Francisco Symphony and faculty from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

A limited number of financial aid awards are available, including special grants for SFUSD music teachers. Information will be posted here as it becomes available.

All applicants must complete an online application and submit a 4-6 minute audio or video recording demonstrating your current level of proficiency. The recording should include:
- a portion of one solo work (etude, sonata, or concerto, etc.)
- excerpt(s) from Scheherazade as specified on our excerpts page
