Join 100 fellow musicians for a weekend of music-making that you won't forget! The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Amateur Music Network present the inaugural Orchestra Fantasy Camp.
Rehearse and perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s spellbinding symphonic suite Scheherazade under the direction of conductor Edwin Outwater, and work with San Francisco Symphony musicians and SFCM faculty members, receiving world class instruction from extraordinary mentors.

Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
The camp schedule will include full orchestra rehearsals as well as small and large group sectionals with orchestra mentors, all leading up to a public performance with members of the San Francisco Symphony in the Caroline H. Hume Concert Hall at SFCM.

Conductor and Mentors
The Orchestra Fantasy Camp will be led by visionary conductor, Edwin Outwater, and mentors consisting of musicians of the San Francisco Symphony and faculty from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

A limited number of financial aid awards are available, including special grants for SFUSD music teachers. Complete this form to apply for financial aid. Please submit completed financial aid applications to the SFCM Continuing Education Office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
The deadline to submit your financial aid application is February 1, 2020.

All applicants must complete an online application and submit a 4-6 minute video demonstrating your current level of proficiency. The video should include:
- a portion of one solo work (etude, sonata, or concerto, etc.)
- excerpt(s) from Scheherazade as specified on our excerpts page
