Artist Profile

Andrew Grishaw, ’17 Viola
Violist Andrew Grishaw is a musician committed to performing repertoire of all styles and genres. Originally from Turlock, California, he is currently enrolled at SFCM as a Professional Studies student in the studio of Jodi Levitz. Mr. Grishaw received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver where he studied under Basil Vendryes. Mr. Grishaw will begin his Masters program this fall at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami as the Graduate Teaching Assistant in the studio of Jodi Levitz. In addition to his conservatory ensembles, Mr. Grishaw has performed with many orchestras including California Pops Orchestra, Pueblo Symphony Orchestra, and the Denver Philharmonic. Mr. Grishaw has attended the Castleman Quartet Program in Fredonia, New York, Le Domaine Forget in Quebec, Canada, Colorado Mahlerfest in Boulder, Colorado, and the Aspen Music Festival and School in Aspen, Colorado. In addition to music, Mr. Grishaw enjoys spending time with his family and friends, the great outdoors, and supporting his Oakland A’s.
