What are you passionate about outside of music?

Performing Arts, travel, hiking, and cycling.

Who were your major teachers?

John Heiss, Robert Didomenica, and Leslie Bassett.

What was the defining moment when you decided to pursue music as a career?

In 1982 at Northwestern University while in the Liberal Arts program, deciding to return to Boston and taking up classical guitar.

What was a turning point in your career?

My first job at LucasArts Entertainment Company writing music and designing sound for video games.

If you weren't a musician or teacher, what do you think you would be doing now?

Stock investor, business.

Clint Bajakian has been on the forefront of video game music composition, production, and sound design since 1991 as an award-winning composer, producer, sound designer, and manager, having worked at LucasArts Entertainment, Sony PlayStation, and more recently as a composer on Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft. Bajakian has won many awards including the Game Audio Network Guild’s Music of the Year for his soundtrack to Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb in 2004 as well as its Lifetime Achievement award in 2013. He also received the Square Enix award for special achievement in 2010, and shared in the Hollywood Music in Media best video game soundtrack for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor in 2015, the BAFTA award for Original Music for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (producer, additional music) in 2010, and Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences best music award in 2006 for God of War, a score he produced. In 2012, Bajakian received the Distinguished Alumni Award from The New England Conservatory. Currently an independent composer and producer, adjunct professor in the Technology and Applied Composition program at the San Francisco Conservatory, trustee at the New England Conservatory, and director at Marin Shakespeare Company, Clint holds degrees in music from the University of Michigan and the New England Conservatory. Clint resides in Novato California with his wife, Deniz, and two children, Lara and Deren.
