Conservatory Opera Presents Scenes for Star-Crossed Lovers

In November, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music shows how tradition can be an exceedingly fertile seedbed for creativity. Concerts of orchestral classics and holiday carols feature brand new additions to the repertoire. Baroque masterpieces and opera favorites get a fresh hearing. And Bay Area musicians honor esteemed teacher and faculty composer David Conte by premiering 32 new pieces written by his former students. All performances take place at 50 Oak Street in San Francisco and most are free. Ticketing and performance details can be found at calendar.sfcm.edu.
