“Learn your music so well that you can turn around and teach it.”

What was the defining moment when you decided to pursue music as a career?

Summer Studies at Brevard Music Center.

What was a turning point in your career?

Deciding to go “completely classical” in the mid ‘90s.

If you weren't a musician, what do you think you would be doing now?

Teaching languages and literature.

If you could play only three composers for the rest of your life, who would they be?

Rachmaninoff, Puccini, and Wagner.
