Sasha Launer is a founding member of the unconducted chamber orchestra One Found Sound, the newest member of the award-winning chamber group Areon Flutes, Principal Piccolo with the San Francisco Wind Ensemble, as well as a founding member of the woodwind quintet OFSQ, an offshoot of One Found Sound. Miss Launer has also performed with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, Stockton Symphony, Merced Symphony, and at the Utah Festival of Opera and Musical Theater. Lessons focus on building good habits from the start, technical foundations, and, most importantly, developing a unique sense of musical style and awareness. Devoted to the role of artist-teacher, Dr. Lemoine is currently Woodwind Chamber Music faculty in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's collegiate division and a flute coach for the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as a member of the Santa Cruz Symphony and the Santa Rosa Symphony. Equally passionate about chamber music, Dr. Lemoine co-founded the all-female woodwind sextet Frequency 49 and is a member of the hip-hop/classical fusion group Ensemble Mik Nawooj. She is a former instructor and faculty at the Eastman School oof Music, the University of Rochester, and Nazareth College. Mingjia Liu joined the San Francisco Opera as Principal Oboist in 2010 and has since been recognized for his charismatic performing skill and "singing ability" on the instrument. A native of Qingdao, China, Mr. Liu attended Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he studied with WeiDong Wei, Robert Walters and Alex Klein. As an alumni of the Aspen Music Festival, he has also worked closely with Richard Woodhams and Elaine Douvas. In addition to his role with San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Mr. Liu previously served as the Principal Oboe of the Kansas City Symphony and has appeared regularly as a guest artist with the San Francisco Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Mr. Liu has great enthusiasm for teaching and was recently invited to give recitals and master classes at the First Beijing International Oboe Festival at the Central Conservatory of Music. Mr. Liu taught at his Alma Mater, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2013 and in the collegiate division of SFCM in 2014 & 2015. Ms. Reynolds has been an active performer and educator in Northern California for over 20 years. Ms. Reynolds also performs regularly with a number of other regional orchestras and is lecturer in oboe at Sonoma State University. A chamber music enthusiast, she is a member of the reed trio Trois Bois, and was a founding member of Citywinds, a San Francisco based woodwind quintet dedicated to contemporary repertoire. Chair of Musicianship and Composition for the Pre-College Division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Daniel Wood is an accomplished composer, performer and educator. His compositions favor small groups such as brass, wind and string chamber music, steel drum ensembles and jazz combos and his most recent commissions have come from Ceora Winds, Presidio String Trio, and Avenue Winds. Mr. Wood has written and performed solo shows as an improvisational musician including "Life on an Island" and "Brother, Can you spare a Dime." As a founding member of the Quadre horn quartet, he has toured extensively since 1998, and composed and performed for Quadre's 4 albums with guest horn player James Thatcher, Grammy award-winning flutist, Molly Barth, and soprano Elizabeth Weigle. Mr. Wood has lectured on the Business of Music for the American Federation of Musicians, San Francisco Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, University of Oregon, and the International Horn conferences. Stephanie Webster is a Mexican-American musician who focuses on the folk music of her ancestors and other related cultures. She typically performs programmatic recitals that utilize her voice, various instruments and guest performers. Ms. Webster earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts: Music with an emphasis in composition from Saint Mary's College of California, two Master of Music degrees in Composition and Marimba Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She studied composition with Conrad Susa, Dr. Martin Rokeach and Dr. Frank La Rocca and marimba with Jack Van Geem.
