Volunteer to teach music to kids in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon

Qualifications:

Knowledge of music theory, appreciation, composition, choral music and performance including guitar, violin, flute and saxophone.

Responsibilities: 

Instruct kids 9-14 years old in music including music appreciation, theory, improvisation, composition, and performance.

USOMC Room Monitor - United States Open Music Competition (ends 2/9)

Description: 

The United States Open Music Competition (USOMC) is seeking volunteers to monitor each competition room to ensure that each event runs smoothly and without interruptions.

Qualifications: 

An interest and commitment to USOMC mission and vision. Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, and dependability. Demonstrated energy and enthusiasm for music, although no prior musical knowledge or experience required

Responsibilities: 

Prepare room for each competition event by making sure judges have adequate supplies, such as pen, scratch paper, water etc. A check list will be provided. Keep track of contestant counter so that it corresponds to the contestant who is currently playing. Responsible for video recording each contestant and making sure video recorder has sufficient battery to record contestant’s entire performance. Ensure that audience members are not video recording any contestants’ performance. See that no one enters or leaves the room while contestant is performing. Be available to direct traffic in and around competition room and answer any questions. Keep competition room tidy by throwing away trash in between events and at the end of the day.

Corte Madera Town Band- Corte Madera in Marin County (ends 4/15)

Take part in the developement of this 22 year old organization as a community service

Qualifications:

intermediate to advanced players

Responsibilities: 

Thursday evening rehearsals in Larkspur 7pm - 9:15

Community service . None of us receive a salary
