     I. An offering to the four directions. 
      “willow of crystal, a poplar of water, a pillar of fountain by the wind drawn over”
     II. Appearance of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, the morning star  
       “Presence like a burst of singing, like the song of wind in a burning building...”
     III. Appearance of Mictēcacihātl - lady of the dead 
        “Shepherd of valleys underneath the sea and guardian of the valley of the dead...”
     IV. Appearance of Quetzalcoatl - Creator
         “Gateway of our being, awaken me, bring dawn, grant that I see the face of the living day, grant that I see the face of living night...”
     V. Epilogue - “Forever arriving” 
         “willow of crystal, a poplar of water, a pillar of fountain by the wind drawn over”

      Dance in the style of a sea shanty unintentionally composed on a theme by Saint-Saens.
