Bass Clarinet Intensive
In this week-long intensive program, participants will work closely with members of the Sqwonk bass clarinet duo and the San Francisco Symphony to deepen and broaden their bass clarinet skills. With masterclasses and workshops on topics including practice techniques, audition preparation, extended techniques, career development, and creating new repertoire, students will immerse themselves in the bass clarinet from a range of angles and perspectives. All participants will receive one-on-one private lessons, play in a masterclass, and have the unique opportunity to perform alongside students and faculty in a large bass clarinet choir.

Applicants are requested to submit a video audition including
- two orchestral excerpts or one movement from a Bach cello suite
- one solo piece
