This summer, SFCM opens its doors to the Bowes Center for the Performing Arts for you to learn from world class faculty in the heart of San Francisco’s arts district. Residential summer academies and day camps for aspiring young musicians will give you the chance to get a taste of what studying at SFCM might be like. Applications open February 1.
Overnight Camps
Stay on campus at SFCM, during these week-long immersive courses.

Technology and Applied Composition Immersive
Students will take a deep dive into music technology, media composition, and state-of-the-art production techniques. Students will learn hands-on about the evolving field of media composition.
Ages: 15 - 18

Guitar Workshop
Work with SFCM faculty and guests on this week-long guitar workshop. Take classes in Alexander Technique, improvisation, guitar technique, master classes and performance!
Ages: 13 - 18

Vocal Summer Academy
Interact with SFCM voice faculty and industry professionals through private lessons, group classes, coaching with pianists, master classes, small ensembles, and a final concert.
Ages: 14 - 18

Bass Clarinet Intensive
A holistic approach to taking your bass clarinet playing to the next level. Participate in masterclasses and workshops, plus solo, chamber, and large ensemble performance opportunities.
Ages: 18 +
Day Camps
Meet over the course of several days in these exciting courses.

Harp Camp
Hone your musical skills and connect with other young harpists from the Bay Area. During this five-day program, each harpist gets to perform solo, in a master class, and with the harp ensemble.
Ages: 12 - 18

Introduction to Music Composition - ONLINE ONLY
Explore your inner composer in this 9 day introductory course.
Ages: 13 - 18

Computer Assisted Composing - ONLINE ONLY
Get into coding to create sound and music! Learn to generate and present your musical ideas through your computer or using your preferred digital audio workstation.
