Jason Wang has performed widely across the United States, Europe, and Asia, appearing as both a soloist and chamber musician.  A prizewinner at many competitions, including the Heida Hermanns International String Competition, he has performed at music festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival, the Taos School of Music, and the Kalkalpen Music Festival.  A longtime faculty member at the Music Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he has given recitals at venues such as the National Performing Arts Center in Beijing, the Shanghai Concert Hall, the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, and Shanghai Conservatory.  Dr. Wang previously served as assistant principal cellist of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and was formerly a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Dr. Wang received his master’s and doctorate degrees from the Eastman School of Music. He also holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and undergraduate degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
