Biography
Tanya Žilinskas earned her MFA from the University of San Francisco, where she was awarded the post-graduate teaching fellowship. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in publications like The Sun, EPOCH, Chicago Quarterly Review, Southern Humanities Review, Shenandoah, TriQuarterly, Puerto del Sol, Porter House Review, The Florida Review, Lunch Ticket, and X-R-A-Y, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her writing has received support from Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference, the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, Writing By Writers, the Center for Cultural Innovation, and the University of San Francisco. She’s an affiliate editor for Alaska Quarterly Review, a former senior reader for Electric Literature‘s Recommended Reading, and the former editor-in-chief of Invisible City. She is the founder and host of the BAIT Reading Series at the Sausalito Public Library.
