SFCM's Bowes Center Scoops Up Two More Architectural Awards
The Architecture MasterPrize was created by the Farmani Group as a companion program to the IDA International Design Awards.

SFCM's groundbreaking Bowes Center continues to rack up awards for its architecture on the international stage, nabbing two awards in the 2022 Architecture MasterPrize competition.
Submitted by the building's design firm, Mark Cavagnero Associates, The Ute and William K. Bowes Center for Performing Arts was awarded not only an award for Mixed Use, but a Best of the Best award in the educational category.
"The mission of the AMP is to advance the appreciation of quality architectural design worldwide," the group's website reads. "Celebrating creativity and innovation in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design, the prize is open to submissions on a global level, accepting entries from architects all around the world."
This is not the first award SFCM's "vertical-campus" has won, back in August, the 12-story building was selected as one winner of the prestigious 2022 International Architecture Awards in the category for Museums and Cultural Buildings.
The building was named in honor and recognition of The William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation's $46.4 million gift to the Conservatory in 2018, the largest single gift ever made to a conservatory at the time.
