Three SFCM violinists have received honors including notable orchestral appointments. Yanghe Yu ’15 won a spot with New World Symphony, the acclaimed orchestral academy directed by Michael Tilson Thomas. A student of Wei He, Yu graduates this month with a Professional Studies Diploma. Alum violinist Jing Zheng '13, a former student of Ian Swensen, joins the Houston Symphony as a regular member in June after subbing with the second violin section for the past year. Joshua Peters '15, another Swensen student graduating with an M.M. degree, won Canada's Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition for contemporary music performance. Congratulations all!
