The Office of Admissions offers campus tours for prospective students and their families throughout the academic year and summer. Tours last 60–90 minutes and are led by our knowledgeable student admissions staff. You'll visit both buildings: the Ann Getty Center and the Bowes Center, which are just a five-minute walk apart. Highlights include performance halls, academic and tech spaces, a sample dorm room, practice rooms, dining areas, and more. Please note: access to specific rooms depends on performance and class schedules. Be prepared for a brief outdoor walk between buildings.

Lessons
Many of our faculty members are available to meet with prospective students for sample lessons, by advance request, during their visit. High school juniors and seniors, as well as college students considering SFCM, are especially encouraged to contact faculty to schedule an in-person or virtual lesson. Sample lessons are scheduled directly with the faculty member and are not arranged through the Office of Admissions. Please connect with SFCM faculty via email. If you are currently completing the application process, we recommend reaching out to faculty after you have submitted your application.
Class Observations
Class observations may be possible during your visit, contingent on testing and rehearsal schedules. Please indicate your interests in specific class observations in your campus tour form and we will look into options around your tour time. Due to small class sizes, it is not always possible to accommodate visitors in academic classes.
