Description: 

Violin teacher needed beginning April 16 until June 9 and resuming in September. Hours are: Mondays 3 - 5:30, Wednesdays 2 - 5, Saturdays 10 - 12. Pay is up to $70/hour depending on experience. Teaching experience required. Location is near Daly City Bart station. Join our team of superb teachers for a collaborative teaching experience at our El Sistema inspired program. Qualifications: 

Significant teaching experience required.

Responsibilities: 

Teach a group class (up to 20 students) and collaborate with the other teachers.

Salary: 

$70/hour.

String Orchestra Recording - 2 Violins, 2 Violas, and Cello (ends 6/4)

Description: 

Players will be asked to prepare Elementary, Middle School, and High School level string orchestra music in order to record short excepts to accompany posting on sheet music websites. 2 violins, 2 violas, and 1 cello needed. The rest of the ensemble will be "freeway" symphony personnel. Recording taking place on Monday, June 4th, 6:00 PM to 8:10 PM

Qualifications: 

Please reply with the number of years at the Conservatory. Union membership is not required, but may be helpful.

Responsibilities: 

Needs to be available on Monday, June 4th from 6:00 PM to 8:10 PM. Music stands will be provided. No lights needed. Transportation to and from Richmond BART is open to discussion.

Salary: 

$140 for 2 hours and 10 minutes

Auditions will be held on Monday, June 18th, 2018

Qualifications:

  • Invited candidates will be offered an audition time for Section 2nd Violin. Those advancing to the final round will be considered for Assistant Principal 2nd Violin.

Salary: 

The California Symphony is a per-service orchestra.  The current CBA for the 2017/2018 season provides for:

  • Section 2nd Violin: 20 guaranteed services, $138/per service, plus pension contributions
  • Assistant Principal 2nd Violin: 20 guaranteed services, $158.70/per service, plus pension contributions
