Artist Profile
Rob Patterson is an Assistant Professor of Clarinet at Boston University. Previously, he served as Acting Principal Clarinet with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Principal Clarinet with the Charlottesville Symphony and Lyrique-en-mer festival, as well as on the University of Virginia faculty. Mr. Patterson has given masterclasses at The Juilliard School, Rice University, Interlochen Academy, University of Cincinnati, Grieg Academy, Royal Conservatory of Music (Stockholm), Teatro del Lago, and the Taipei Municipal University of Education. He has also served on the faculties of the Curtis Institute of Music’s “Summerfest”, Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra, Yellow Barn Music Festival Young Artists Program, and the Sewanee Music Festival.
