Requirements
After submitting the application, applicants for all Woodwinds programs will be required to select a virtual performance interview time and submit unedited audiovisual recordings fulfilling the repertoire listed below. Movements from mult-movement works may be in separate video files. The recordings will be due three weeks before the selected virtual performance interview time. There is no prescreening requirement for woodwind applicants.
Works with piano are not required to be performed with a pianist or piano recording.
Repertoire does not need to be memorized.

- Two contrasting movements of a concerto by Mozart (G or D) or two contrasting movements of a sonata by J.S. Bach
- Two contrasting movements of a sonata: Hindemith, Piston, Martinu, Poulenc, or a sonata of equivalent difficulty
- One additional piece: Chaminade Concertino, Fauré Fantasie, Enesco Cantabile and Presto, or a piece of equivalent difficulty
Graduate and Postgraduate
- Two contrasting movements of a concerto: Mozart D Major with cadenzas, Ibert, Nielsen, or a concerto of equivalent difficulty
- Two contrasting movements of a sonata: Martinu, Reynolds, Prokofiev, Gaubert, or a sonata of equivalent difficulty

Virtual Performance Interview Formats
All Woodwind applicants are required to attend a Virtual Performance Interview following the submission of their Final Audition Recording. The Final Audition Recording will serve as the primary audition, with the Virtual Performance Interview supplementing it for the admission committee. Some programs are requiring live performance through Zoom. Applicants in those areas with concerns regarding live performance due to technology or space challenges should email apply@sfcm.edu.

Individual interview with Office of Admission staff.
