Richard Savino, professor of guitar, has released a new album with his ensemble El Mundo called “Archivo de Guatemala” (featuring music from the Cathedral of Guatemala City archives) through Naxos, which has selected it as a featured international release. Savino’s album (which also includes fellow faculty member Corey Jamason playing harpsichord) was also selected as a classical pick of the week by the Guardian.
