Popular culture has evolved past most ethnic tropes, but somehow the Jewish Mother stereotype is still stuck in the Borscht Belt. This program updates the character through comedy, original music and historic background, offering more accurate, modern and positive humor.
Lauren Mayer is a Jewish mother and a music director/musical theater instructor in the Voice Department. She is also an award winning songwriter and performer, including doing weekly topical comedy songs that have attracted millions of views and almost as many trolls.
