Expression begins with precision.

Our flute program challenges you to grow while preparing you for a dynamic musical career.

Instruction from the principal chair of the San Francisco Symphony prepares the next generation of flutists for a life in the orchestra—or as a gigging musician capable of taking on any repertoire. Students have the opportunity to perform in SFCM's many ensembles, as well as enter the biennial Woodwind Concerto Competition.

Faculty

Engaged instruction from a master.

SFCM and Opus 3 alliance
SFCM changed global music education in 2020 by acquiring management company Opus3 Artists, home to over 250 top musicians. Masterclasses, recording sessions, and side-by-sides with members of the Opus 3 roster are only the beginning of our work together to invent the future of performances.
