We’ve been in your shoes.
We went to music school—and loved it so much that we haven't left. We dedicate our days to helping musicians join an educational community that enables them to grow as artists beyond their expectations. At night, we still take an occasional music gig.
After living and studying in multiple cities in the United States, I moved to San Francisco to work at SFCM in the Office of the Provost & Dean, then transitioned to the Office of Admission in 2017. As an oboist (BM, Eastman School of Music) with many interests, I enjoy seeing how SFCM faculty and life in the Bay Area enable our students to explore the different opportunities for careers in music. I look forward to getting to know our new students who will shape and expand music around the world.
A native of Kansas City, MO, I moved to the Valley of the Sun to complete two degrees (BM, MM) in violin performance at Arizona State University under the tutelage of Jonathan Swartz. Utilizing the skills I developed in the practice room, I have held administrative positions at major performing arts organizations such as San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera, and Aspen Music Festival and School. I am passionate about developing the next generation of well rounded, immensely talented musicians, and look forward to guiding you through the admission process.
Originally from Florida's Space Coast, I double-majored in music education (BME) and trombone performance (BM) at Florida State University’s College of Music, then continued my studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM). After graduating from SFCM, I freelanced throughout the Bay Area while working in a succession of roles at Stanford University. Returning to the Conservatory in 2015 has been a thrilling opportunity for me to continue sharing my passion for music and learning with inspired musicians from around the world.
