Resonant States: An Immersive Cello Sound Bath Experience
This is a student winter term project presented by Zoe Lee. Winter Term is a two week period SFCM sets aside for students to immerse themselves in subjects beyond the standard curriculum. It’s a chance to learn about an interest you’ve never quite had time to explore. Or to give your career a head start by developing a business or technical skill. Or to watch an idea come to life. Or to see what happens when you play in a way that you haven’t before. Winter term performances are an opportunity for students to display what they have learned or worked on during their winter term project.
Resonant States: An Immersive Cello Sound Bath Experience...
is an interdisciplinary event blending live cello and piano performance with breathwork, movement, and sound healing. This unique fusion of concert and wellness practice invites participants to lie down on yoga mats and experience music beyond traditional settings, fostering deep listening, relaxation, and mindfulness.
What to bring:
This is a floor-based, lying-down experience with no chairs provided. Please bring a yoga mat and any props for comfort, such as pillows, blankets, or an eye mask. We recommend dressing in warm, comfortable clothing.
