Julie Adams ’13 Makes European Debut

The soprano stars in a production of Rusalka at Staatstheater Braunschweig.

Julie Adams (BM ’11; MM ’13) made her European debut in a production of Antonín Dvořák’s Rusalka at Staatstheater Braunschweig in Braunschweig, Germany. The celebrated soprano studied with César Ulloa, chair of voice, while at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

This latest role—available to stream through April 5, 2021—is one of many exciting successes in Adams’ life since graduating from SFCM. Others include winning the 2014 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and performing in opera houses nationwide, including the San Francisco Opera, Arizona Opera, and Michigan Opera Theatre. Her recent orchestral engagements include Beethoven’s Symphony Number 9 with the Phoenix Symphony conducted by Tito Muñoz and a concert version of West Side Story with the Oakland Symphony.
