Sonata Form Expositions: Assignments
Analyze the expositions of two expositions from the list below, using the LaRue symbols and graphed layout we covered in class.
Remember that Primary (P) and Secondary (S) themes are likely to be periodic, or song forms, whereas it is extremely rare for Transitional (T) themes to display periodic structures or be song forms.
Look at the first movement of at least two of the following works (some are linked to PDFs of the scores):
